I’m SLOWLYYYYYY coming back to blogging folks! I know I’ve barely updated in the last few months…but ya kno…babies are hard work and time suckers. lol SO MUCH has happened in the last 3.5 months that I can barely keep up.
I’ve been literally taking THOUSANDS of pictures of Charlotte. THOUSANDS. no exaggerations. my phone tells me i’m out of storage everyday and everyday i have to move the files over to my external hard drive. C is doing SO MANY new and cool things i just can’t get over it. i have to record every second of her life so i don’t forget. i could watch her all day and still never get bored. i know ENOUGH ENOUGH Of the baby talk…
little miss lucy got her very first haircut! for the last 2 years i’ve been avoiding going to a salon b/c i was worried they wouldn’t be gentle or they would cut lucy. i’m sure ya’ll already know this but i’m super protective over her and her vet, babysitters, etc. lucy is so sweet and gentle~~ she can’t handle doggie daycares or rough service. (either that or her mama can’t!)
anyway…funny story about this haircut…we went to puppy in style on western and olympic. it came highly recommended from my friends. lucy was put in a little pen by herself (instead of the pen with the other doggies) and cried these deep gutteral screams. like someone was torturing her. i wanted to stay but the groomer kept telling me i could leave and that she wasn’t a real baby. lol that lucy would be fine. i walked out to the parking lot and heard her FREAKING OUT so i went back in to see the owner giving lucy treats. lol again he asked me to leave and told me lucy was in good hands. i could hear lucy crying from the parking lot as i was driving away. =( so sad…
when i came back 2.5 hours later lucy was in great spirits and looked like a lion!! hehehe super adorbs. the lady did SUCH a great job on lucy’s haircut we will definitely go back. they ended up charging us an extra $5 b/c lucy was so difficult. >.< Sowyy…she is my little princess afterall.
this pic doesn’t do the head justice but she seriously looks like she has a mane. SUPER CUTE. people in the neighborhood comment on it all the time. kekeke
Redds Apple Beer. For some reason this was my BIGGEST pregnancy craving. it looked incredibly refreshing and it was all i wanted. true i could have had some during my pregnancy but i was already cheating with food so i didn’t want to risk drinking. this past week i FINALLY bought a 6-pack of these and died. SOOO YUMMY. it tastes like apple juice with a little beer mixed in. sweet and crisp~ just the way i like my alcohol. =D
During pregnancy there were so many times where i craved a certain dish but it never lived up to my imagination. this time…this beer totally exceeded it. MUHAHAHA i’m hooked! you’ll definitely catch me drinking one in the middle of the afternoon now or with dinner. >.O
after MONTHS of not going to church b/c of pregnancy/birth~ we finally made it out!! i was waiting until charlotte got her 2 month shots just in case. you never know what germs people carry~ my mom would have preferred us to wait until she was 100 days to go outside at all but that is a very long time and just cray. lol
*disclaimer: i know that charlotte has no socks on and her seat belt is crooked. the weather was ridic this last month in LA (hello 86% humidity) and charlotte HATES being buckled into the carseat. SOO this was the best i could do before she had a meltdown. dun worry she isn’t always strapped down like this. *
developmentally~~ charlotte can now smile, see her hands, lift her arms, stick out her tongue, make bubbles with her spit, drool like a champion, and kick like a soccer star. today she even rolled OVER!!! it was a half roll but i literally started screaming and taping. LOL my little lottie is growing up!
cute presents from korea!! thank you eun eemo! xoxo these are the absolute cutest organic items for C. can’t wait to put her in the bear onesie soon! one thing i love about korean clothes is that the tags are on the outside (on the back of the neck) so that the baby doesn’t have to fuss with it.
this past week mike and i got a new car!! one for ME =D i have never driven a new car before so this was incredibly exciting stuff!! this was seriously our first big purchase as a married couple. is that cool or sad? i’m not sure… but we’re such big grown ups now! hehe
i am now a 31 year old ahjuma with a baby, body and car to match. lol no more fresh faced 20-something lady. sigh.
went back to work. =( i took a 2.5 month maternity leave and totally regretted it. i wish i had taken 5-6 months off. the first month was literally about surviving and getting to know this little babe. the second month i started taking her out on walks and errands. lol the second month is where she started to form a schedule, settle into herself and we as a family developed a new rhythm too. in the 9th and 10th week C was just so much fun. she started smiling, discovered her own hand, made bubbles with her spit and made so many physical changes as well. JUST when i was able to do more with the baby was when i had to go back to work. =(
LUCKILY my boss is awesome and i’m able to work 2.5 days in the office and 2.5 days at home until the end of the summer. that’s like an additional 8 weeks getting to spend time with lottie and my fur babe. AWESOME RIGHT?! this is by far the best working mom schedule i could have ever asked for. xoxo
and now the fun photodump!
c lifts her left arm up a lot and always has her hand in a fist. it’s the cutest thing ever to see charlotte stare at it and try to move it around. this is mike “fist bumping” her. hehe
the last few weeks the weather was MISERABLE. charlotte started to get heat rashes in between her folds and on her face. =( so she is super glossy with aquaphor in these pics. =P BTW, aquaphor is a miracle worker!
look at her wittle belly. doh.
