This past Sunday was Mike’s first father’s day! How exciting~~ ^^ We celebrated this big day in two parts: one with his family and one with ours (the three of us). <3
here’s our first family photo together!! obviously i still have some pregnancy weight to lose but it felt so nice to be out and about and doing normal things! i love this picture of our new family and i can’t wait to take WAYY more to come!! with more babies and 1 more puppy if mike will let me. hehehe
mike and his dad. =) new dad and grandpa on this very special weekend! charlotte obviously couldn’t be bothered to pose or care. lol
to the best new dad and puppy dad in the world!!!
part of the blair fam bam with baby C. =)
on actual father’s day we spent the day walking around venice enjoying the neighborhood and taking pictures of the area. we’re trying to take some pics and frame them for our living room so it was nice to get our feet wet while out and about. =)
finally uncle hansie spending time with baby charlotte <3 adorable!
the past few weeks have been such a blur! baby blair is 7 weeks today and my mind has been so cloudy. (more on that later though) the last few weeks i’ve been able to get out of the house and meet up with a ton of friends. they’ve come over, i’ve been able to sneak out, and it’s been HEAVEN. i feel like i’m my old safe when i’m with the girl talking about the real housewives or shopping at the mall. lol such little pleasures right??
well here are a few pics from my life lately. fun times with the girls and a super precious moment above that i caught on a saturday morning. xoxo love my new precious family!! xx
Markel and I are on our way to palm Springs right now to celebrate father’s day with the Blairs. Getting our new family of four together was quite the feat. I took 10x longer than we could have predicted and it was a mess. Lol. Oh the joys of going through life w a baby who needs a car full of goodies to get through the day. ^^
Hope you are all having an amazing father’s day weekend! The weather is just gorgeous and I can’t wait to spend it outside exploring and soaking in some much needed sun!
before baby char was born i wasn’t sure what kind of “look” she would be right for (post here). now that she’s here, i’m having a BLAST buying things for her and dressing her up! =)
Here are two purchases I just made for my little budding fashionista!
headbands from Little Highbury, a shop on etsy. 3 for $28. SO CUTE right?? they have the best patterns and selections.
a cute panama hat and bear shoes from Gap! ADORRRRBS. Can’t wait until Char fits these shoesies!! xoxo
i thought shopping for myself was fun…but shopping for a little mini-me is twice as exciting. i love all things girlie, retro and preppy for her. sorry to markel and his wallet in the future! hehe between me, lucy (yes she has a wardrobe), and now char…that’s going to be quite the bill. sowy! =P
Summed up into 2 tshirts, this has been my last 6 weeks. Lol
last week i had my first glass of wine! (correction…first and second. =P)
it was like riding a bicycle~~ unfamiliar and strong at first~ but smooth and delicious by the end. sigh. i forgot how much i love wine. i am now ready to rejoin the world with wine night’s and happy hours with fwends. <3 xoxo
the most unfortunate part of the night: pumping and dumping. =( to be honest i probably didn’t have to (since so much time had passed), but i didn’t want to risk it. felt like such a waste~ but it was totally worth the fun night with friends. ^^
this life as a breastfeeding mama isn’t easy…but i wouldn’t change anything about it. =D
yesterday my little babe turned 1 month. time is flying by so fast. this month alone charlotte has changed so much: she can lift both her arms, turn her head, hold her head up for a few seconds, suck on her fist, make 20 different faces, poop like a champion, and (best of all) smile! C has already outgrown newborn clothes and half of her 3 month clothing. =( i want her to stay this little foreverrrr. but at the same time i can’t wait to see her roll over, crawl, say her first work, take her first step, and MORE.
this first month has been so incredible, i can’t wait to see what the second one holds. i can already tell that going back to work is going to be SUPER hard in july. =( i wish i didn’t have to…but life has to go on right? sigh.
for now i’m grateful i get to spend every second at home with this precious babe. xo
photos from the shoot for Crafting Studio (etsy store). my friend owns this beautiful store and she came over to take some pics of C in her new line. love the products from their line and how these photos turned out! xo
My baby is already 1 month today!! Time has flown by so fast and I’m both happy and sad. Happy to see Charlotte growing and developing~ but sad that my little newborn is no longer so tiny, wrinkly and helpless.
I’ll write more tomorrow on this topic and show some adorable photos we took over the weekend. <3
For today we are soaking up every second with our little one and enjoying our time as a family.
this summer i have a few things on a wish list that i’d like to achieve. don’t worry, this isn’t like “lost 30lbs” or “become a new person”. lol last year i made three summer goals and was only able to do 2/3~~ pretty successful for a wishlist right? (post about that here) I mean these summer goals are more for fun and enrichment than anything else~~ it is summer afterall =P
1. walk on the beach with my new family every weekend (or as often as possible).
not only would it help me get out of the house more, but it would be a great motivator to get my body back into shape!
2. wine tasting!!
it’s been so long since i’ve been wine tasting~~ it would be a DREAM to go this summer.
3. trip to SF or somewhere near norcal
mike and i had been meaning to make a trip out there in my second trimester but we were so busy it never happened. it would be really nice to make our first family trip one to norcal to see our friends. =) xo
easy list of things to accomplish this summer right?! let’s hope by september i’ve done at LEAST 2 out of the 3, if not all 3. =)
