Just from this corny title you may have guessed…but the Blair family is expanding!! Although our family is bigger than just markel and me (can’t forget little lucy blair), the rhyme didn’t quite work another way. lol
This little bundle of joy in my tummy is quite the surprise but we couldn’t be any happier. My first thought when I saw the test was, “holy crap the baby is due during a bad time at work”. (I just recently moved departments and I had no plans of having baby #1 during my first academic year.) BUT…God had other plans for us. He definitely works in funny ways and we’re taking the time to enjoy every moment.
Not sure if you noticed, but I’ve been a bit absent from this blog because my morning sickness (MS) has been…insane. Like, i-need-to-lay-down-24/7 insane. Everything makes me sick, everything smells bad and movement of any kind…worsens the symptoms. I seriously thought that my body would have LOVED being preggo. I always wanted 4 kids and a huge family, and well, it never occurred to me I’d get MS. How naive of me right?!
Well I have a few posts queued up to talk about my adventures in new motherhood next week. I hope you enjoy them and forgive me if the next couple of weeks I’m still a bit absent. I’m in my second trimester but my MS doesn’t seem to know that… *sigh * In any case I hope you’re all doing well and thank you so much for reading and sharing this new wonderful time for our family. <3
A few weekends ago, my friends and I went to the most adorable brunch with delicious food, personalized mason jars, and great times. As our schedules get cray we get to see each other less and less~ so it was really really fun to get together with our Sig-Os and sip on brunch cocktails and eat lots of amazing food. <3
clearly not ready for this one… hehehe
can you spot my little lucy blair? =D
i have more pictures on my DSLR that I haven’t downloaded yet so as soon as i get that, i’ll post more!!
Happy Weekend!!! xoxo
This weekend my friends and I are going to VEGAS =D We are having a huge Bs reunion and I couldn’t be more excited. Over the last…5-6 years we have grown into a strong group of women, friends and sisters. I can’t say enough how much I love these ladies. We’ve shared so many wonderful life stages, ups, downs and memories. This weekend is going to be EPIC!! All 10 ladies will be flying/driving into Sin City and we’ll be living up our weekend together.
can’t wait!! x
Hehe looks like someone is ready for halloween 🙂
Lucy was no as amused as her mama…lol
Cant wait for our halloween party in a few weeks!
On October 4th, Mike and I went to one of the most beautiful weddings (dare i say…in the world). LOL yes… THAT is how stunning this wedding was. From the locations to the decor, everything perfectly represented this amazing couple. (Fun fact, they have been together exactly as long as mike and i have! :D)
All these pics are from my phone or another phone so the quality is meh. But I hope you can still see what a magical night it was!
(i also didn’t have my phone during the ceremony so i don’t have any fab ones of that…but it was all white, simple and totally them!)
the reception was on the roof of a warehouse in downtown LA where they own a cafe. not only was it a super meaningful location, but the views from the roof were UNBELIEVABLE.
gorgeous table decor
every detail was stunning
at the end of the night the drinks were flowing, dance moves were being shown off and it was SUCH a fun~ relaxing time!
you can’t tell from the dark pics below but there was a lot of really fun games and entertainment during the reception. Everyone kept laughing and taking pics of the ridiculousness~~ lol
the beautiful couple. this night was seriously the most gorgeous wedding, totally relaxing, and all the details were SOOO THEM. congrats to #JAMDY!
at the end of the night in my flip flops =D
my friends and i go through the same books on our kindles and love to talk about what we’re reading, what’s the next thing to get, etc. And when a book we’re reading actually gets made into a movie??? well… we all have to go see it PRONTO.
opening weekend the ladies + the sigOs all came out to watch this incredible movie. i’m really happy about the way it followed the storyline and there were no random hollywood inventions (like sooo many book adaptations). it was so fun to experience the book and movie with close friends and gab about the plot twists, characters and actors. can’t wait for the next book/movie night!!
(it was a sunday night so i look super cray. no makeup and glasses… *shrug * what can you do…)
holy moly…i need this jacket. it’s not practical, i’m not even sure where i would wear it (everyday to work? lol) but i have to have it!! gahhh
ASOS Vintage Faux Fur Coat
These are a few items I picked up from target a while back and i have to say the combo of nail polish i choose is STILL my favorite today. The two sally hansen top coat/bottom coats are AMAZING. They make my manicures last for 2-3 weeks without any chipping!! and the colors of the sally hansen bottles below are so subtle and chic.
Just thought I’d share this little haul and show you what i’m loving right now!
(the pam spray was to test out the fast drying nail polish, post here, but i’m not a huge fan of the greasy feeling. i’d rather just apply thin coats and wait for my nails to dry naturally)
