I love how you can throw together various pieces of black and it will still look chic. The textures, fabric and styles can all differ~ but it will all look fabulous and incredibly trendy. Another trait that I love about black clothing is that you can pair red lips (below) a super bright accessory and to pull the entire look together.

I’m sorry Karl, I love you and I always love your gorgeous creations… but this time… it’s a fashion fail. Karl is taking a leap forward and has come out with a line of scooter helmets~ but I just don’t see the success of it. For instance, if you can drop $2K for one of these, doesn’t that mean you’re rich enough to own a car or have a driver?

Karl Lagerfeld’s ‘It’ Helmets Are Finally for Sale in Stores
For his fall 2009 namesake collection, Karl Lagerfeld created what are probably the most fabulous scooter helmets of all time, which came encrusted with pearls and covered in mink. When they debuted, it was unknown when or even if the works of helmet art — complete with iPod hookups and everything — would make it to stores. But at long last, they are in stores, just in time for holiday shopping! Les Ateliers Ruby made only twelve of the couture helmets, which Karl created with the chicest of scooter-riding ladies in mind. Find them at Colette in Paris, of course, and at other specialty retailers, for just $1,805 to $6,837. Think of the value in not having to worry about helmet hair once you arrive at your destination, since you can’t exactly roll up to the bar and casually set the helmet down somewhere. But you’ll also probably want to wear it so you can turn up the music and drown out everyone less fabulous who tries to communicate with you.
Ok…so I’m against the return of parachute pants~ for good reason. It looks like you took a crap and your normal pants are sagging down. Yes, I can see that they are comfortable and go well with super high heels… but still…come on people! They are FUGS. I don’t care how you photograph them or what you put on them (in this case, sequins) or how you dress them up… FUGLY is FUGLY.

Markel surprised me with a weekend trip to San Diego! (ok so don’t barf…) but He has truly got to be one of the most romantic men EVER~ Markel planned an entire weekend and although I couldn’t squeeze ALL the details out of him, I do know enough for “what should i BRRRRINNNGG???” lol Obviously bringing two suitcases for a weekend trip was lame…so the better method was to badger him until he let me know what sorts of outfits to bring. Here’s what I’m thinking…
#1 It’s casual SD weather. Not too hot since it’s the end of Fall~A cardigan in casse it’s cold, but a nice beach appropriate outfit underneath =P The first day will be lots of walking and exploring of the harbor/port area
#2 Our boutique hotel has a special Wine Tasting for their guests!
#3 Going Out to a Fancy Dinner
#5 The next day~ exploring the city
So realistically I’m fully aware that these are WAYY to many outfits to bring for two days. HOWEVER~~ a girl can always daydream about her outfits right? Anyone else have suggestions?
Markel and I went to see the latest Cirque Du Soleil Show in Santa Monica last night and it was unbelievably amazing. So in honor of the play, circus theme~ I am dedicating this entry to fun hair pieces (at a low price)…something I wish I had worn last night.
WAHOO!!!! Markel and I have tickets to KOOZA tonight and I can’t wait. After musicals, Cirque Du Soleil shows are my FAVORITE. This is the newest addition to a long and famous line of variations. Moreover…I’m excited to pick out a super cute “fall” outfit to match this high energy evening! Black Knee High Boots? Check. Black Liquid Leggings? Check. Beautiful Silk tunic with a delicate pattern of sequins at the neckline? Check. Fitted Black Blazer? Check. Hot Date? Check. I’m READYYY!!
